Terms of sale
Last updated 2 November 2026
These terms apply when you buy a book directly from the Ordwick Bookstore at store.ordwick.com. Please read them before you order.
Who we are
The bookstore is run by Ordwick Media & Publications Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16000733), registered office 86 Great Portland Street, 1st Floor, London, W1W 7LT. You can reach us at [email protected] or on +44 20 8050 9776 or +1 307 939 7112.
Books we sell and books we link to
Books marked “Buy direct from us” are sold and delivered by us, and these terms apply. Books marked “Buy at Amazon” or another store are sold by that store. You buy from them on their website, and their terms, prices and returns policy apply. See our affiliate disclosure.
Placing an order
You need an account to order. When you pay, you make an offer to buy. Your order is accepted when we email you an order confirmation. If we can’t supply a book, for example because of a pricing mistake or a problem printing it, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). Printed books and eBooks are zero-rated for UK VAT. Shipping costs are shown in your cart and at checkout before you pay. Orders sent outside the UK may have to pay import duties or local taxes when they arrive. These are set by the destination country and are paid by you.
We take payment by card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or PayPal on secure pages run by Stripe and PayPal. We never see or store your full card details.
eBooks
eBooks appear in My library as soon as your payment is confirmed. You may download and read them for your own personal use. You may not copy, share, resell or upload them anywhere else. Authors keep the copyright in their books.
Printed books
Some printed books come from our stock and some are printed for you when you order. Dispatch times are shown on each book page and on our shipping page.
Cancelling and returns
You have the right to cancel most orders within 14 days. Our returns and refunds policy explains how, and when the right does not apply to eBooks.
Reviews
Reviews on this site are written by signed-in readers. We don’t pay for reviews or write them ourselves. We may remove reviews that are abusive, off-topic or not genuine.
Our responsibility to you
If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result. We are not responsible for losses that are not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts. If you have a problem, please contact us first and we will try to put it right.
